These are our #Photographs from the "Stop Arming Israel End the Genocide" Protest held at Forrest Place in Perth, Western Australia on the 27th April 2024.
It was excellent to see a large number of Muslim Brothers and Sisters turning up to demonstrate Support the Palestinian People.
There was a broad cross section of Australian Civil Society present which shows that Australians do not support Genocide, Apartheid or Terror Regimes.
While not everyone in the crowd was a key note speaker everyone clearly supported free speech especially political speech which the High Court of Australia has stated is protected speech in the Constitution which is a document which all Australians should read, especially the bits about what citizens can do when they have lost faith in the Government!
If you look on X, judging by the number of clown #memes, it's pretty easy to imagine that vast numbers of Australians do seem to have lost faith in the Prime Minister and his Cabinet.
We would like to point out that Al Falaq Photography takes great care to obtain the permission of everyone we photograph, before we press the shutter button and we think this should be the standard utilised by all photographers who cover rallies and protests.
As you will see from our images, we also take the time to smudge out the faces of the people who are in the background to ensure that we adhere to our promise to always obtain permission from the people we photograph! It means we have to put more time into editing so we appreciate it when folks buy us a coffee!
In keeping with our policy of always amplifying the voices of the grassroots community, we first publish #photos of the #FreeSpeech "Placards" made by members of the community. A lot of work and creativity goes into these works and we make sure we document as many as we can.
We hope that you will exercise your protected right to political speech by sharing these "infographs" around so that they may be remembered and seen by our dear leaders.
Remember that one of the ways that a #FreePalestine will be achieved is through the #BoycottIsrael Campaign. #BoycottBagels, read the labels on food products and don't buy products made by the Jewish State in Occupied Palestine.
We should also be making sure that we do not spend our money on services or products from Organisations or Businesses which support the ongoing Occupation of Al Quds and Genocide of the Palestinian People.
