These #photographs are from the "Let Gaza Live Rally" in Perth held on the 22 June 2024.
Once again it was great to see a large crowd of people who came out to support Palestine and to demand an end to the genocidal bombing campaign that Israel is conducting. Lest we forget, the Israeli State has been conducting a war of terror against Palestinian People in order to steal their homes and land, that began with the Nakba in 1948.
You can always tell when there is a large crowd by how easy it is to move through the crowd to take photographs. Today the crowd were spread over a large area and there were a lot of people in the central crowd so a lot of "excuse me-ing" was needed. Ergo it was a lovely big sized crowd.
It was nice to hear a couple of Allahu Akbars during the march so the Muslim Community were out in force which is always good to see. There were more than a few familiar faces from online including the Perth Muslim Facebook Group and FOPWA.
Well done to Leena for collecting so many signatures to register the Students for Palestine of Curtin Group as a official political group at Curtin University. James was also very happy with his new "Media Pass" with a lovely tongue in cheek job title. We're sure we are not the only ones with the problem of having too many chiefs and not enough Indians!

Our Policy is that we ask everyone before taking their pic and we smudge out the background faces, to respect the privacy of folks, who we have not obtained consent for.
We have some photos of the March, some of which we have decided not to be too fussy with our smudging! This is because the folks at the front of the March all seemed to be folks known to be comfortable in front of the camera. Ergo, one doesn't carry the banner at the front of a Parade if you are a shrinking violet afraid of being seen, don't you think?

Remember that one of the ways that a #FreePalestine will be achieved is through the #BoycottIsrael Campaign. #BoycottBagels, read the labels on food products and don't buy products made by the Jewish State in Occupied Palestine.
We should also be making sure that we do not spend our money on services or products from Organisations or Businesses which support the ongoing Occupation of Al Quds and Genocide of the Palestinian People.
